How to use ?

- Wash your ZEPHIRA at 30°C before first use.
- You can wear your period underwear for up to 12 hours.
- We recommend that you try your ZEPHIRA period underwear at home for the first time.
- You can wear your ZEPHIRA period underwear as a substitute for tampons or the cup during heavier days — but it's also great for extra protection!

Care Instructions

- After each use, rinse your period underwear in the sink or shower until the water runs clear.
- Machine-wash them at 30°–40° – you can do this along with your other laundry.
- Do not use bleach or fabric softener.
- Hang your ZEPHIRA underwear in a not too humid environment until it is completely dry.
Attention: ZEPHIRA period underwear does not react well to heat, so you should not iron it, put it in the dryer or wash it above 40°.

Can I go in the water with period beachwear?

Light to medium flow: Yes. When you are in the water, the blood cannot leave your body because of the water pressure. When you come out of the water, the blood will naturally escape and flow into your bathing suit (replacing the water in the absorbent part). Blood contains iron and is therefore heavier than water, which is why it settles to the bottom of your period swimwear.
If you have a medium to heavy flow, the period beachwear is best to be used as additional protection to the tampon or menstrual cup. In this case, we do not recommend wearing the period beachwear on its own when swimming.

Is period underwear hygienic?

Yes! Thanks to the natural antimicrobial and antibacterial properties of the built-in protective layer, blood is safely trapped between the layers and the growth of bacteria is inhibited, so you always feel fresh. In addition, some of our products are made from bamboo fibre, which has naturally antibacterial properties.

Do I need to wear pads or tampons in addition to my ZEPHIRA period underwear?

It depends on your period strength (light, 'normal' or heavy). See the first question above

Do period underwear smell bad?

No, thanks to the natural antimicrobial and antibacterial properties of the built-in protective layer, blood is safely trapped and bacterial growth is inhibited, preventing unpleasant odours.
It is important that you wear your period underwear for a maximum of 12 hours at a time for sanitary reasons. After each wear, you should also rinse them by hand in cold water.
